1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and Google account information when you sign in. For clients who make payments, Stripe collects their email address and payment details — we receive the email address but never see or store credit card numbers. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and referral source (UTM parameters).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and maintain the Service; process payments through Stripe; send transactional emails (payment confirmations, review notifications); generate AI-assisted review drafts based on project details; display reviews on public proof pages (only when voluntarily submitted by the client); improve the Service and user experience; and communicate important updates about the Service.
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with: Stripe, for payment processing; Google, for authentication; Resend, for sending transactional emails; Google Gemini API, for generating review draft suggestions (project name and description only, no personal data); and Vercel, for hosting and analytics. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Public Information
When a client voluntarily submits a review, the following information is displayed on the public proof page: the project name, payment amount, review text, and the date of payment. Client email addresses are never displayed publicly. Freelancers may share proof page links at their discretion.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS). We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit. Authentication is handled through secure OAuth 2.0 protocols. While we implement reasonable security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate website usage statistics. We track referral sources (UTM parameters) to measure the effectiveness of our marketing efforts. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or trackers.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; request correction of inaccurate data; request deletion of your account and associated data; and export your data. 8. Client Data
Client email addresses collected during Stripe checkout are used solely for sending payment confirmations and review-related communications. Clients are not required to create an account. Client data is associated with the freelancer's project and is accessible to the freelancer through their dashboard.
9. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Project and review data is retained indefinitely to maintain proof page integrity. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed, but anonymized transaction records may be retained for legal and accounting purposes.
10. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
